Juice Recruitment is delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established lettings and property management business based in Bristol, with the appointment of an Accountant to join their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-focused and proactive finance professional to join a busy and fast-moving property environment. The role is hands-on and varied, supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
This position offers genuine long-term progression, with the successful candidate gradually taking on increased responsibility and moving towards ownership of the internal finance function.
Key Responsibilities
• Processing and reconciling rental income, landlord payments, tenant transactions, and supplier invoices
• Carrying out regular bank and client account reconciliations
• Processing supplier invoices and ensuring timely payments
• Supporting credit control activity, including monitoring arrears and chasing overdue payments
• Preparing and issuing service charge demands
• Supporting the preparation of service charge budgets and year-end accounts
• Assisting with monthly management accounts and wider financial reporting
• Monitoring cashflow, income collection, and financial reporting accuracy
• Working closely with lettings and property management teams to resolve finance-related queries
• Ensuring compliance with client money handling regulations and property accounting processes
• Maintaining accurate financial records, ledgers, and supporting documentation
• Taking increasing responsibility for internal finance processes as the role develops
About You
We are keen to speak with candidates who are accurate, hands-on, and keen to develop within a growing property business.
• Previous experience in an accounting, bookkeeping or finance role (property sector experience highly desirable)
• Part-qualified (AAT, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience
• Strong experience with bank reconciliations, purchase ledger and financial processing
• Competent with Excel and accounting systems such as Xero, Sage or similar
• Strong numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail
• Confident communication skills with the ability to work across non-finance teams
• Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities
• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a wider team
What’s on Offer
• Salary £30,000 – £35,000 depending on experience
• Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm (flexibility considered)
