Juice Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a highly respected and award-winning financial services organisation in their search for a Business Development Manager to join their growing team based in Gloucestershire.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive and commercially driven business operating within the investment and wealth management sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in generating new business opportunities, building relationships with financial advisers and supporting the continued growth of the wider sales function.
This role would suit someone with previous experience within financial services, professional services, B2B sales, account management or business development who enjoys building relationships, working in a target-driven environment and developing a long-term career within a specialist sector. Full training and support towards industry qualifications will be provided.
The Day to Day
As Business Development Manager, you will work closely with the wider sales and distribution team to generate and qualify new opportunities across adviser firms and professional networks.
• Building relationships with financial advisers, wealth managers and professional services contacts
• Generating new business opportunities through outbound calls, email outreach and LinkedIn activity
• Booking qualified meetings for the external Business Development team
• Managing and nurturing a pipeline of prospective clients through the CRM system
• Supporting the delivery of consultative sales conversations around investment and portfolio solutions
• Researching market activity, competitor trends and new business opportunities
• Working closely with internal marketing and operational teams to support campaigns and client engagement
• Maintaining accurate records, reporting activity and tracking pipeline progress
• Supporting ongoing client relationship management and providing a high standard of customer service
What We’re Looking For
• Previous experience within a sales, business development, account management or client relationship role
• Financial services experience would be advantageous, but not essential
• We are also keen to hear from candidates from professional services, recruitment, insurance, legal, consultancy or commercial B2B backgrounds
• Confident communication skills with the ability to build rapport professionally
• Experience of outbound calls, lead generation or relationship development
• A proactive and commercially minded approach
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working within a target-driven environment
• Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
• A positive, resilient and motivated attitude with a genuine desire to build a career
