Business Support Administrator - Education
Location: Bath
Salary: £23,453 per annum
Hours: 36 hours per week, term time only + 10 additional working days

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys working in a varied and rewarding role, providing essential support to pupils, parents, visitors and staff within a busy school environment.
Please note: Candidates must have an enhanced DBS or have a DBS on the update service and be able to start the first week of September.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the school office. You will provide a professional first point of contact for visitors, parents and pupils, whilst managing a variety of administrative duties and supporting the wider school team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, coordinating communications, supporting school events and trips, managing documentation and ensuring the highest levels of confidentiality and professionalism are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide general administrative support including diary management, data entry, filing, document preparation and maintaining accurate records

Welcome visitors, parents and pupils in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed

Manage incoming calls, emails and correspondence, ensuring queries are handled efficiently

Support with purchasing, stock management and maintaining office supplies

Assist with the organisation of school events, meetings, trips and activities

Provide administrative support to teaching and support staff where required

Maintain confidential information in line with GDPR, safeguarding and school policies

Support pupil welfare and assist with medical administration when required

Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, staff and external contacts

Ensure a welcoming and organised reception environment at all times
About You:
The successful candidate will be an organised and approachable individual with excellent communication skills and a professional manner.
You will have:

Previous experience working within an administrative role

An Enhanced DBS
-
Knowledge and experience of using SIMS

Availability to start during the first week of September

Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience dealing with customers, stakeholders or members of the public

The ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment

A good understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements
