What You'll Be Doing:
As the Electrical Qualified Supervisor, you'll work closely with the Electrical Manager, overseeing compliance across a range of contracts and ensuring all electrical works meet current regulations and industry standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing completed electrical works and ensuring compliance requirements are met
- Signing off and verifying electrical certification, including: EICRs & EICs
- Minor Works Certificates
- Emergency Lighting Certificates
- Conducting desktop audits through photographic evidence and certification reviews
- Carrying out property inspections and post-completion audits
- Shadowing engineers in the field to maintain quality and performance standards
- Providing technical guidance and support to the wider electrical team
- Supporting Contract Managers with compliance objectives
- Leading annual NICEIC assessments
- Liaising with auditors and accreditation bodies regarding certification and compliance queries
- Undertaking surveys to support quotations for new works
- Attending client meetings and representing the electrical department
- Delivering training, toolbox talks and continuous professional development activities
- Maintaining engineer supervision records in accordance with NICEIC requirements
What We're Looking For:
The successful candidate will have:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- AM2 qualification
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- 2391 Test & Inspection (or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years' experience within social housing
- Strong knowledge of electrical compliance and EICR requirements
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively
- A proactive approach to mentoring and supporting colleagues
Previous experience in an Electrical Supervisor role would be highly advantageous but is not essential.
