Juice Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced HR Director with a background in the education to join a busy and fast paced office in a thriving educational organisation in Gloucester.
This is a hands on role, focussing on providing strategic and operational leadership across all HR Functions.
DAY TO DAY:
- Champion the full HR agenda, from employee relations and talent attraction to reward & EDI
- Lead and inspire the People team to deliver exceptional operational support and trusted, solutions‑focused advice
- Drive continuous improvement across all People services, raising the bar on quality, efficiency, and impact
- Embed a culture where wellbeing, engagement, and belonging are at the heart of how the organisation works
- Partner closely with the Executive team and key stakeholders to ensure people initiatives are aligned with strategic goals and future growth
- Work collaboratively with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to uphold and strengthen safeguarding responsibilities from an HR perspective
WHAT WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE:
- Proven senior‑level HR leadership experience, ideally gained within education or a fast‑paced, multi‑layered organisation
- Confident operating at both strategic altitude and hands‑on level. Driving meaningful change while ensuring day‑to‑day People operations run smoothly and with real impact
- Strong technical capability with HR systems, with the ability to extract, interpret and present data that informs smart decision‑making
- Solid understanding of employment law and up‑to‑date HR best practice
- CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent experience) demonstrating deep professional expertise
- A genuine passion for people, committed to wellbeing, engagement and creating opportunities for staff to grow
- Able to build trust, influence effectively and establish credibility at every level of the organisation
