The Role
As Service Manager, you will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team and ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and outstanding care. You will oversee all aspects of service delivery, including quality assurance, compliance, safeguarding, risk management, and staff development.
Working collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, commissioners, and wider community services, you will champion positive outcomes and maintain the highest standards of care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, motivating, and developing a high-performing care team
- Ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and regulatory standards
- Overseeing care planning, risk assessments, and clinical governance processes
- Promoting person-centred and evidence-based care practices
- Managing safeguarding responsibilities and implementing best practice procedures
- Building strong relationships with external stakeholders and healthcare professionals
- Driving continuous improvement and quality across the service
- Supporting individuals with complex care requirements and ensuring staff competency across specialist care interventions
About You
We are looking for an empathetic and resilient leader who is passionate about improving lives and delivering outstanding care.
You will ideally have:
- Previous management experience within health and social care
- Experience leading and developing teams in a care environment
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations and quality standards
- Knowledge of risk management and clinical governance principles
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience supporting individuals with complex healthcare needs
- A recognised management qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Experience within mental health or dual-diagnosis services would be highly advantageous
Exposure to areas such as epilepsy management, PEG feeding, stoma care, oxygen therapy, tracheostomy care, delegated healthcare interventions, and manual handling assessments would be beneficial.
